The PA11-VOL iPod Interface Cable connects, controls, charges, and plays an iPod through the factory stereo system of your compatible 2001 and up Volvo factory radio with external Changer controls. This unit allows you to connect an iPod to your factory radio and operate the iPod just like a CD Changer.

NEW FEATURES on the PA-11: You Can Now Select 2 Different Playback Options:

• Playlist Mode - Create up to 5 favorite mobile playlist then use the radio’s CD changer controls to access and control your playlist.
• Direct Mode - Gives user complete control of their iPod while it is connected to the factory radio. iPod is not locked out while connected to radio and user is able to manually access their complete iPod content. Radio still can adjust song up/down random or shuffle play but user must manually select playlist or Artist.
• Note: Playlist mode or Direct mode must be selected at time of installation but can be changed by adjusting Pin Switches anytime.

Compatibility Notes:

• Compatible with all models listed above having an HU-*** radio and external CD Changer controls
• Not compatible with any 2000 model or 2003-Up XC90/C70
• Vehicles with VOLVO RTI/GPS Navigation systems require a CAS-VOLNAV cable. (sold separately)
• 1994-00 Volvo with SC-### Series radios are not compatible-- [see our PA11-HON interface.]
• The PA11-VOL will NOT connect to OEM (factory) pre-wired cable. (connects to the "CD" connector behind radio)
• Due to the right angle connector on the CAS-VOL5i cable, this product will not fit the HU-555 radios. [manufacturer is working on a solution]
• RTI/GPS Navigation radios require an additional cable (sold separately)
• Text Navigation radios (i.e HU-1205 ) do NOT require the additional cable
• This adaptor emulates a CD Changer -- If your vehicle currently has a factory CD Changer installed, it must be unplugged as they cannot be connected to your factory radio simultaneously
• This interface does not support artist, album, or song title information
